Notification Preferences

How to manage what notifications you receive and how often.

Notification Preferences

Managing your preferences

Go to Account → Notification Preferences to control which notifications you receive.

Security alerts — always on, cannot be turned off. These represent real risks to your devices and data.

Firmware update digest — weekly or monthly email summarizing available firmware updates across your devices. Default: weekly.

Maintenance tips — general maintenance reminders (battery checks, DNS settings, password hygiene). Default: on.

Monthly all-clear summary — a monthly email confirming all your devices are up to date when no issues were found that month. Default: on.

In-app notification center

All alerts appear in the notification center — the bell icon in the navigation. Click it to see all recent alerts grouped by severity, mark them as read, or open a chat session for help with any specific issue.

The bell shows an unread count badge so you always know if something needs attention without having to check your email.

Email frequency

Security alerts always send immediately regardless of your digest preference — they're too important to batch. All other notifications respect your chosen frequency (weekly or monthly).

Device-level status

Each device in your Devices page shows a status badge reflecting its current maintenance state:

  • 🔴 Security Risk — an unread CVE alert exists for this device
  • 🟠 Update Available — a firmware update is available
  • 🟡 Attention Needed — a lower-priority maintenance item exists
  • 🟢 Up to Date — no pending issues
  • Checking — device model not yet in the firmware database
